Bucher MBS system allows brine to be released directly from the cutting edge of the snowplow. The solution remains on the asphalt after the snowplow passes and helps melting the light layer of snow left on the road, preventing it from turning into compacted snow or ice. This is made possible by a specific bi-shore Neoprene cutting edge that has perforations in it that allow the solution to be released.

The purpose of this innovative and exclusive system is to increase the safety and effectiveness of winter road maintenance by completely removing the snow from the road surface. The injected solution remains on the road surface thus reducing the need for multiple passes. The mechanical injection of solution into the asphalt also ensures that 100% of the solution remains on the road, thus avoiding dispersion into the environment through traffic.

Mechanical snow removal

Installed MBS on a conventional snowplough, the front of the blade removes mechanically most of the snow from the road surface.

Brine injection on the road surface

The nozzles, incorporated in the central part of the cutting edge, inject the solution into the snow layer remaining on the surface in order to distribute it with extreme precision at all speeds.

Melting of the remaining snow

The mechanical pressure of the neoprene cutting edge compresses the solution in the remaining layer accelerating the chemical melting process and leaving the surface clean and already treated with antifreeze protection.
