Our production site in Dorking manufactures a wide range of municipal and contractor cleansing vehicles from the 4 tonnes GVM Compact series to chassis mounted units in excess of 18 tonnes GVM. State-of-the-art engineering design facilities and manufacturing techniques ensure that our product range continues to be an industry quality leader.

Application Mechatronic Engineer

Your main tasks:

• The application engineering of our existing and new product range onto a wide variety of commercial vehicle chassis.
• New product development
• Implementing new options, chassis applications to commercial vehicles
• Implementing improvements to existing designs on truck mounted vehicles which range from 7.5 to >32 tonnes GVW including road sweepers, salt spreaders and Vacuum tankers.

About you:

• Mechanical and Electrical engineering design skills are essential.
• Skills and knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and 2D Electrical CAD software (E3 preferred).
• Knowledge of automotive electrics, electronics and CAN bus preferred.
• An ability to work within a multi-disciplined team, a willingness to get involved and take responsibility and to travel within the UK & overseas to assist with urgent technical problems are also essential for this role.
